Facilities and equipment
The house was built in 1965. It is amidst a huge garden, which is partly used agriculurally
(olive-, orange- and lemontrees). You will also find scores of mediterranean plants and flowers such as
bougainville, palm trees, cluster figs, wisteria, oleander and hibiscus.
We have been working a lot on the estate in the last years. Now the living space is refurbished, electricity is renewed, the garden tidied up.
There's still a lot to be done in the two out-buildings and at the facade.
The big veranda however we already have restored.
If you can do without a swimmingpool, we can offer you an authentic sicilian experience,
you can get to know country and people and also find quietude.
Inside the house there is a big living roon (60m²), one big bedroom with own bath,
two more bedrooms that share one bath (with tub).
In the living room you have a fireplace, sattelite TV and a stereo.
The three bed rooms have full size beds and two extra beds for children
(no cribs but normal short beds). Linen and towels are complimentary.
Furthermore there are stockrooms and a seperate toilet.
With the great veranda, the roof deck and the whole garden you will still find a
quiet place on the premises even when the house is fully occupied.
From the roof you can see the three Aegadian Islands and a small strip of sea.
Garden furniture, sunlounger and deck chairs are available.
If you like to barbecue, there is a fireplace and grill in the garden.
The kitchen ist spacious and fully equipped even for larger parties: big gas stove, oven, fridge and freezer
plenty of pots, pants, dishes, cutlery et cetera.
You can purchase our homemade olive oil from Mrs. Dina, who takes care of the house.
If you get along with our neighbor Signor Pilato who grows vegetables on the fields next door
he will be glad to give out some of the new crop.
